Good Photography

I think that this picture is a good photograph, because it really captures the moment of sailing at dusk or dawn.Three things I like about this picture are: how the light hits the water, the sunset/ sunrise, and the boats that are off to the side. However, there are a few things that could have been done to this picture to improve it. For one, they could have cropped out the clouds. They also could have centered the picture more. It's like boats on one side and sunrise/sunset on the other. They should have tried to focus on something. They also could zoomed in on the boats and the sunrise/sunset more.There are a couple things that makes a good photographer, but for the most part they have to have an eye for detail. I think that anybody can be a good photographer if they just need to pay attention to the details. One thing that really wows me about good photographs is the vivid colors. When a photo is taken at just the right moment in the right lighting. One can see the colors in the photo as vividly as if they were actually there.

Special Thing You Can Do

Well this is an interesting topic. I can't really say that their is anything that I can do that could be considered "special." The most interesting thing that I can do is read books really fast. That's about it. There might be something else but I can't think of it at the moment. To read book fast all you need to do is read and don't stop. It also helps when you are interested in the book. I've read the last Harry Potter book in like two days. Everyone should know how to do this because it makes reading assignments simple and fast.

New Technology

I would like to have an ipad mini because it is smaller than a tablet but bigger than a phone. I would use it to take notes at school. It would make my life easier because then my notes would all be in the same place. It would also let me play more apps. I would use this technology for both fun and educational purposes.

My Four Day Weekend!

I had a good four day weekend. The beginning of the long weekend was filled with baking and eating. I had some relatives over at the house till Thursday night. They left to go shopping for black Friday. On Friday, I did absolutely nothing. Well I did do a little homework. On Saturday, I watched all of the Star War movies. I like R2-D2. On Sunday I had to go on a retreat with my sister because I am her sponsor for confirmation. We dominated the trivia game. Catholic school really paid off. We were a little surprised at the limited knowledge of the other people there. I guess that's the catholic education talking though. I have had religion every day during the school year for the past twelve years. It would be bad if I didn't know anything about the catholic faith.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving means that that it's time to give thanks for what we have and be prepared to chow down. We will either go visit some relatives for Thanksgiving or they will come visit us. This year we our going to have our relatives from Louisiana and Indiana come visit us. We have things like turkey, stuffing, candied yams, corn, rolls, and mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving dinner. We really do not have a Thanksgiving tradition. We celebrate Thanksgiving because it is good to give thanks for what what have and because of the pilgrims and the Indians.  The pilgrims came to the Americas for religious freedoms. They had a lot of trouble when they finally had arrived. The Indians helped them out eventually though. As a way of showing their appreciation for the indians' help, they held a feast.

Veterans Day!

Veteran's day is a day to remember all those who are fighting for our freedom and all those who have fought for our freedom. I really don't have any military individuals in my family. Besides Bumpa serving in the Vietnam war, that's pretty much it.This day isn't particularly important to me but I know it is important to others. I am not interested in joining the military. It means a lot to me to"serve your country".  It means giving up things for the benefit of the country as a whole. In the military's case, they may give up anything from time at home to their lives. I have never been to or participated in a Veterans day parade.

Election!

If I could vote, I would probaly vote for Romney. I don't think that Obama has done anything major, and it is time to try something new. I think that Romney is right to change our health care policy. Obama care does not lower health care cost it only makes sure that everyone is covered.I will be so happy when this election is over. They have been driving me nuts with all the tv, internet, and radio ads. I much rather hear about car ads instead of the back and forth ads for the presidential candidates. These ads really do drive me crazy.

Halloween

Sadly, I'm not going trick or treating this year. It's not just because I don't know where all the good spot are..... I really stopped trick or treating after I was 12. I was told that once you turn twelve that is your final year to trick or treat. I don't really go to halloween parties. I'm not big on social gatherings. My favorite costume I wore when I was in elementary school was Blossom from the Power Puff Girls. That was my favorite show when I was little.  Nicole , Amanda and I all dressed up as a different Power Puffs Girl. Nicole Was Bubbles and Amanda was Buttercup. The best candy I could get in my bucket was a Ki-Kat Bar. Those things are amazing. I have always enjoyed carving pumpkins. I craved a Creeper in mine this year.

I am Perfect...or am I?

Lord knows that I am not perfect, but if there was one thing that I could change about myself it would be my height. I would make myself two inches taller. I really don't like being short. My sister is taller than me. It is not fair. It would make me better in the way that I could reach the top self more easily. Everybody knows thatn I hate being short.

Topic of your Choice: Castle

 

Castle is coming on tonight. I can't wait to watch it. It suppose to be a romantic weekend in the Hampton's turned murderous. They were about to take a dip in the pool when a man with a wound on his chest walks into their pool. It 'll be interesting watching a small town sheriff run the show instead of Beckett. Castle might find himself in trouble in this episodes. He has a tendency to misbehave with the evidence and such. I wonder what the back story is behind the victim. It seems very strange for someone to wander into someone Else's pool. I wonder if Castle will comment about the victim getting blood in his pool. Either way I can't wait! It comes on ABC at 9/10 central.

Fall

Fall has really shown its brilliance this year.  I love it when the trees change colors. The colors have bold and pretty. My favorite are the red leaves. I have not taken any pictures, but my mom has. I  see these trees all the time on my way to Siena Heights. My favorite thing about the fall is that we get to carve pumpkins around this time of year. We roast the pumpkin seeds in the pumpkins after we finish carving them. They are my favorite food this time of year. Another fun thing in the fall is getting to play in the leaves. I haven't got to do that much though. The colors never changed quite so brilliantly in the South.

Castle

Spirit Week!

It is Spirit week this week at Sand Creek High School.  I'm thinking about dressing up for most of the days, but I'm not really sure yet. It is pretty fun when you get to dress up and stuff, but it is not that fun at this school. At my old school, we had to wear uniforms. So dressing up during Homecoming week was like amazing. We also had better dress up themes. There was character day where you could dress up as anyone or anything. There was theme day where your costume had something to do with the homecoming theme. My favorite day of Homecoming week is decades day. Each grade level had a particular decade. The freshman had the 50's, the sophomores had the 60's, the juniors had the 70's and the seniors got the 80's. (The 80's were awesome, so of course the seniors got that decade.)
      Today is sports day. Most people wore their favorite spots team shirt. A few people were wearing a wrestling uniform. That was just plain scary. I think it is pretty cool when the teachers dress up too. Is there assembly that is suppose to take place this week that I do not know about.? If there was, I would not participate because I would not know what is going on. I cannot not say what the best part of this schools pep Assemblies if I have never been to one. Of course the teachers should be more involved in these Assemblies.
        I do not plan on helping with the float because I have never helped with the floats before and I would not know where to go to help.

New Episode of Doctor Who comes on Saturday! This time the Angels take Manhattan.

New episode of Castle came on last night, and it was awesome!

My weekend was the same as usual. I played Minecraft and talked to my friend, Alex. I went to Sam's on Saturday to get some more food. On Sunday, I mostly cleaned up the house because the Grandma and the Bumpa wee suppose to be coming down from New York this week. They arrived at their camp Sunday night.
